2004.11.26 (Friday) :: Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! (even if it is a bit late).

If you don't have Thanksgiving in your part of the planet, feel free to fly over to the States next year, and we'll have some turkey or something. Or just send me a nice e-mail. Either way works fine.

2004.11.21 (Sunday) :: A new beta to play with
Okay! I fixed that whole options-file-fixing problem, so that'll be ready for next time.

I've had a few requests for JLookUp to do ROMAji output, so I implemented that. I'd really appreciate it if you could test out 1.0.7.3b; I totally changed a lot of the way it processes input, and I want to make sure that it still works the way that it's supposed to.

Anyway, you can find it in the Test Area.

2004.11.15 (Monday) :: Upgrading issue
I was going through the code for JLookUp, and I found what would appear to be a problem.

If you run a newer JLookUp.exe, it is supposed to update your Options.jlreg file in order to make it compatible with the said new version; however, it does not do this properly with versions prior to whenever-I-implemented-the-dictionary-encoding-option, which was probably around 1.0.7. Anyway, what it's supposed to do is add the default option, but instead, it creates a new 'dictionary' key, and that's about it.

I'll try to have it fixed within the week.

2004.11.08 (Monday) :: Stroke-count issue
It has been brought to my attention by Richard Dickison that JLookUp has been inacurately displaying stroke-counts for kanji!

In case you want to know, the reason is that some kanji entries have multiple stroke-counts with them, but only the first is the 'correct' one. JLookUp was looking at the last one for the proper reading (which was incorrect).

Anyway, it's fixed in 1.0.7.3a, which is available in the Test Area.

2004.11.06 (Saturday) :: I'm back!
Okay, Halloween's over, and so is all of the work that had been piling up for a while. I have managed to, once again, divide my time between three projects (sorry), but right now it's JLookUp's turn.

I've gotten a bunch of suggestions, and I'll try to work them all in as fast as I can.

*edit*

Okay, I've added the Test Area, which is where I'll be putting the newest--and working--builds of JLookUp before I try to release them ^_^
Right now, 1.0.7.3 is up there; it only adds a couple of new things, but try it out anyway (and let me know how it works out).
